The Macchiaioli: the Story of an Art Revolution

A major exhibition of the Macchiaioli from 4 October 2019 to 19 January 2020 in Lecco at Palazzo delle Paure.

Titled The Macchiaioli: the story of an Art Revolution, produced and organized by ViDi and curated by Simona Bartolena, surveys an artistic movement that revolutionized nineteenth-century Italian painting. It presents more than sixty works by its most salient representatives, from Telemaco Signorini to Giovanni Fattori, Giuseppe Abbati to Silvestro Lega, Vincenzo Cabianca to Raffaello Sernesi and on to Odoardo Borrani.
